Vintage Five Diamond Ring

$900.00

This vintage ring has five diamonds set into the unusual platinum-14 karat gold band. We believe this ring dates to the mid-20th century, circa 1950s.
The ring is an illusion style setting.

During the 1950s platinum was all the rage again after it was released from being listed as a strategic war metal.
The gold and platinum combination in this ring could be to reduce the amount of platinum which would have reduced the cost at the time, or it was part of an older ring that the customer wanted to reuse for sentimental reasons.

The ring holds a round-brilliant cut diamond at its center, which is I-J colour, Si1 clarity; total diamond weight: 0.15 carat.

There are two single cut diamonds on either side of the center diamond, making a total of four accenting diamonds.

The band is made of platinum and 14 karat white gold.

The current ring size is  4 ½.

This item comes with a verification report from a certified independent appraiser.
