Art Deco Calibre-Cut Ruby & Diamond Bar Pin c. 1920s

$1,850.00

The clean lines and striking combination of rubies and diamonds make this bar pin a wonderful example of Art Deco design.

At its centre are three slightly graduated old mine cut diamonds, framed by calibre-cut rubies and rose-cut diamonds. Calibre cutting is a specialised technique in which each gemstone is individually shaped to fit a specific design, requiring a high degree of craftsmanship and precision. The result is a seamless flow of colour that became a hallmark of fine Art Deco jewellery.

The rubies and diamonds join together in an elegant bypass motif, creating movement and visual interest while drawing attention to the three central diamonds.

Handcrafted in platinum over 14 karat yellow gold, this pin dates to the 1920s and retains the classic safety clasp that was popular during the period.

Whether worn on a lapel, collar, hat, or incorporated into another jewel, it remains a beautiful example of early twentieth-century craftsmanship.

This item comes with a verification report from a certified independent appraiser.
