Vintage Five Diamond Ring, c. 1950s

£546.00

This vintage diamond ring features five diamonds set into a distinctive illusion-style mounting. We believe the ring dates to the mid-20th century, circa 1950s.

Following the Second World War, platinum once again became available for use in jewellery, leading to a resurgence in platinum-topped designs. Rings such as this often combined platinum and gold, allowing jewellers to take advantage of platinum's durability and naturally white colour while keeping the piece lighter and more economical to produce.

The ring is set with five diamonds in total. At the center is one round-brilliant cut diamond weighing approximately 0.15 carat, with I-J colour and SI1 clarity. Four single cut diamonds flank the center stone, adding sparkle and enhancing the illusion setting.

The setting is crafted from platinum and 14 karat gold.

The ring is currently a size 4 ½.

This item comes with a verification report from a certified independent appraiser.
