Birks (previously henry birks and sons) is a prestigious canadian jewellery company that has been a provider of luxury jewels since 1879 and became an official supplier of jewellery to the british royal family in the 1930s for some time
This ring is a piece of history and it is in practically perfect condition for its age.The diamonds are full of life and eye clean.
We believe this ring dates to sometime in the late 1940s - early 1950s as the center round-brilliant cut diamond has a small open culet.
This would place it as an "early" version of our contemporary round-brilliant cut diamonds.
The ring is made from 14 karat-18 karat yellow gold topped with white gold.
Mixed metals is a typical style of the time period.
"Birks" is stamped into the band of this ring.
The ring is a size 5 ¼.
This item comes with a verification report from a certified independent appraiser.
