English Old European Cut Champagne Diamond Ring in Platinum and 18 Karat Gold
The light brown diamond at the centre of this ring creates a beautiful contrast against the mixed-metal setting.
This ring is of English origin and dates to the early-to-mid twentieth century. During restoration work, the ring head was rebuilt and fitted with a charming antique old European cut diamond, giving the piece a centre stone more in keeping with its character and period aesthetic.
The last few pictures show the ring head after the modern diamond was removed and some of the restoration work had been completed.
At the centre is one old European cut diamond, accompanied by a GIA report stating a weight of 0.27 carat, U–V light brown colour, and SI2 clarity.
GIA report number: 5181687794
You can view the full GIA report here.
The ring has a total diamond weight of 0.33 carat.
The setting is fabricated from 18 karat yellow gold and platinum, a classic combination that was popular during the period.
The ring is currently a size 5 ¾.
A verification report from a certified independent appraiser is included with this item, along with a GIA report for the center diamond.
